Job summary

Wyetech, LLC is seeking a software engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems for federal contracts in Maryland. The role covers analytics, real-time systems, and management information systems, driven by documented requirements.

The ideal candidate has a BS in CS or related field (or 4 years of equivalent SWE experience) and strong Linux, Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript skills, plus SDR, geospatial processing, and modern dev tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency working in Linux development environments
• Proficiency coding in Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript
• Experience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming
• Experience with geospatial processing
• Experience coding 2D and 3D image displays
• Experience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools
• Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools

Responsibilities

• Developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and management information systems) based upon documented requirements
• Contributing to cutting edge development programs and designing new solutions
• Innovating RF signal processing applications
• Developing analytics, visualization and discovery tools
• Integrating new and legacy software across a variety of hardware form factors
• Reviewing and testing software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results
• Resolves software problem reports
• Providing input to software components of system design including hardware/software trade-offs, reuse, and requirements analysis from system level to components
