Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting partners with a growing global organization to hire a Software Engineer for its Chicago western suburbs. This hands‑on, full‑stack role focuses on building enterprise applications, reporting, APIs, and modernization initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong C#/.NET development experience, modern front‑end capabilities, and solid SQL skills, comfortable across existing systems and new development, troubleshooting production issues and driving modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software‑development experience.
• Strong C# and .NET experience.
• Full‑stack application development experience.
• Experience with React, Angular, or another modern front‑end framework.
• Strong SQL Server and SQL development skills.
• Experience building REST APIs and web services; experience supporting enterprise applications.
• Reporting experience using SSRS, Power BI, or comparable technologies is highly valued.
• Experience with Git and modern development practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and understand complex business processes.
• Power Automate, Azure, cloud development, and integration experience are valuable but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

This is a hands-on full-stack development opportunity supporting business‑critical applications, reporting solutions, APIs, integrations, and modernization initiatives within a complex global organization.
