Job summary

Zelis Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and operate software systems while working across the entire stack. The role targets new graduates with 0-2 years of experience and opportunities to work with TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, PostgreSQL, and AWS in a collaborative, flexible hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years of professional experience (new graduates welcome).
• Experience or demonstrated interest in web-based application development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude, collaborative personality, and desire to learn.
• Ability to learn new technologies and problem-solve effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality backend services and supporting systems.
• Work across the stack as needed to deliver complete, end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute to services in production, including deployment, monitoring, performance, and operational health.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to architectural discussions with a focus on quality and maintainability.
• Partner with engineers to identify and resolve production issues.
• Participate in code reviews and learn best practices from the team.

• Exposure to containerization or distributed systems.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools.

In-office work and activities vary based on work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.

While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed. Our hybrid approach is flexible, and in-office presence is guided by team and business needs rather than a fixed weekly schedule.
