Job summary

Vetto is seeking a Software Engineer to help build the internal platform powering AI training data. You will create reusable components and data pipelines across multiple AI training intents, enabling scalable data workflows.

You’ll contribute across backend and frontend with Python/Node.js/TypeScript, improve observability, and work closely with PMs and researchers to ship fast in a remote-first, founding-team environment.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do

• Create reusable components that work across multiple AI training intents.
• Design and implement data pipelines, workflow automations, and quality monitoring systems.
• Build and maintain Vetto’s internal annotation and data collection platform.
• Collaborate closely with PMs, researcher to ship fast.
• Build observability and tooling to track data quality across the entire pipeline.
• Prototype and evaluate new tools and frameworks as the team’s needs evolve.
• Help define engineering standards and architectural decisions as the team scales.

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves:

• Strong software engineering fundamentals (data structures, system design, clean code).
• Full-stack engineering experience across backend and frontend, with comfort working in multiple languages and frameworks — whether that’s Python, Node.js or TypeScript/React andsimilar modern tools on the client side.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, iterative environments where requirements evolve quickly.

Nice to have:

• Experience with AI/ML tooling (LLMs, embeddings, evaluation frameworks).
• Experience building internal platforms, annotation tools, or data pipelines.
• Familiarity with infrastructure and DevOps practices.
• Experience at an early-stage startup.
