Job summary

Hunt & Gather Sdn Bhd is seeking a Software Engineer with strong Angular frontend expertise and solid .NET backend capabilities. You will own features end-to-end—from pixel-precise UI components to well-structured APIs—shipping work that shapes the product experience.

This is a remote role for a self-driven engineer who communicates clearly and thrives without hand-holding. You will design, build, and maintain Angular apps with RxJS and Angular Material, develop RESTful APIs in .NET, implement

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Angular (v12+), including RxJS, Angular Material, and lazy-loaded module patterns.
• Proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET 6/7/8), including ASP.NET Core Web API development.
• Practical experience designing and deploying microservices, including message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus) and service discovery.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience consuming or building third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with containerisation using Docker and orchestration basics (Kubernetes or equivalent).
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and writing optimised queries.
• Comfort working in an agile, remote-first environment with asynchronous communication tools such as Jira and Confluence

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Angular applications with a focus on component architecture, state management, and responsive UI/UX
• Develop and extend RESTful APIs and backend services using .NET (C#), following clean code and SOLID principles
• Architect and implement microservices, ensuring loose coupling, clear service boundaries, and reliable inter-service communication
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver features iteratively
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to maintain high code quality and reduce regression risk
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to uphold engineering standards
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues, implementing fixes and preventive measures proactively
