A top-tier infrastructure team is seeking a Go Lang Specialist to support and scale a major internal monorepo used across one of the world’s most iconic platforms. This is a hands-on systems role focused on tooling, integrations, and performance improvements for Go developers company-wide.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Evolve and support the Go ecosystem within a large-scale monorepo
• Upgrade SDKs, runtimes, and third-party library integrations
• Patch and enhance foundational Go libraries (first and third-party)
• Build internal tooling for debugging, IDE integration, and static analysis
• Improve linters, dependency management, and performance profiling workflows
• Create documentation and best practices for Go developer onboarding
• Partner with multiple engineering teams to ensure reliability and adoption
• Provide business-hours support for all Go-related issues

Must-Haves (Don’t Apply Without These)

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience with library development and patching
• Strong understanding of tooling, debugging, and code analysis workflows
• Comfortable working EMEA business hours
• Clear communicator who thrives in cross-functional infrastructure teams

You’ll Stand Out If You…

• Have experience building in monorepos with Bazel
• Bring additional experience in C/C++ and OS-level development
• Are skilled in performance profiling and optimization techniques
• Have contributed to large-scale infrastructure or platform teams
• Care about improving developer experience and system scale

This freelance opportunity is full-time (40 hrs/week) and may be extended based on project performance and team needs.
