Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience developing solutions in COBOL, JCL/PROCS, CICS, IMS/DB/DC.
  • 6+ years of experience in databases such as DB2, Oracle, SQL Server.
  • 3+ years of experience developing solutions with the Java platform.
  • 2+ years of experience in design & development of Bill of Material software solutions.

Job description

Software Engineer accountable for operational excellence of portfolio and delivery of programs, projects, enhancements, Solution Definition Services, and SMW work in the PD domain workstreams of: Bill of Material Authoring and Reporting solution within Ford Engineering and Development Environment (FEDE).

  • Applicants need to maintain deep technical knowledge of BOM Authoring, BOM Change Management and BOM Reporting related algorithms and be responsible for technical resource development in line with growing demand.
  • Maintain expertise in Bill of Material domain, including Ford internal application and industry wide progress.
  • Applicants should clearly communicate portfolios status, issues, risks, and plans to IT Management and associated Governance bodies.
  • Manage program support activities, including the development of internal and external communications, establishing roadmaps and benchmarks, developing implementation, testing and training plans and ensuring the successful transition to support teams.
  • Maintains deep technical knowledge of GPDS, Bill of Material business domain, Bill of Material technical architecture and implementation.
  • Maintains solid understanding of emerging technologies, platforms and solution strategies, with hands-on engagement in targeted areas.
  • Support Interface with Business customers for portfolios deliverables including programs, projects, and improvements.Supports strategic plan for further workstream and process element ownership in region.
  • Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology or a technology related field
  • 8+ years of experience developing solutions with COBOL, JCL/PROCS, CICS, IMS/DB/DC, Clist, MQ/Series and REXX
  • 6+ years of experience in databases such as DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 Stored procedures
  • 3+ years of experience developing solutions with Java platform (XML, SQL, JAVA, HTML, C++, SOAP, XSD, Cloud essentials)
  • 3+ years of experience as Application architect
  • 2+ years of experience in design & development of Bill of Material software solutions
