Job summary

SkyWest is seeking a software developer to join a fast-paced aviation tech environment in Vermont. You will build and maintain web applications and .NET MAUI mobile apps, design relational databases, and collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements.

Responsibilities include testing, debugging, and optimizing solutions, while partnering with IT Security to ensure secure design practices. AI tools will be used to boost productivity and code quality.

Qualifications

• Experience developing applications using C# and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience developing applications using Microsoft technologies such as ASP.NET Web Forms, .NET MAUI, ASP.NET Core, Razor Pages, MVC, or Blazor.

• Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications according to business and technical requirements.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain .NET MAUI mobile applications according to business and technical requirements.
• Design, develop, and optimize relational databases and SQL queries.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements.
• Prepare detailed design specifications and lead design reviews.
• Perform unit testing and facilitate user acceptance testing with business partners.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application, website, and database issues.
• Partner with IT Security to implement and maintain secure application design and development practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, troubleshooting, documentation, and solution design.

Primary Job Duties

• Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications according to business and technical requirements.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain .NET MAUI mobile applications according to business and technical requirements.
• Design, develop, and optimize relational databases and SQL queries.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements.
• Prepare detailed design specifications and lead design reviews.
• Perform unit testing and facilitate user acceptance testing with business partners.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application, website, and database issues.
• Partner with IT Security to implement and maintain secure application design and development practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, troubleshooting, documentation, and solution design.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience developing applications using C# and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Experience developing applications using Microsoft technologies such as ASP.NET Web Forms, .NET MAUI, ASP.NET Core, Razor Pages, MVC, or Blazor.
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
• Ability to design SQL Server database structures, write complex queries, and develop stored procedures.
• Experience testing, debugging, and troubleshooting software applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to effectively utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, troubleshooting, and documentation while maintaining ownership and accountability for delivered solutions.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Microsoft certification is preferred, but not required
