Software Engineer – Agent Infrastructure.

My client is an a16z-backed, AI-native application security firm already in production with Fortune 500 firms. Their platform maps an enterprise's real exposure, pinpoints what's genuinely dangerous in that specific environment, and drives remediation through to resolution in mere minutes, not days as is the standard

Led by a repeat security founder with serious technical pedigree, the team is small, flat, and fast-moving, with demand outpacing engineering capacity.

Well invested and with some excellent brains behind the technical vision, they’re now hiring their founding engineering cohort to scale the agents, core to their central product.

The infrastructure hires will own the in-house-built harness which orchestrates their agents in production, working on adding: Capability, reliability, scaling across tens of thousands of machines – working fast and cost-efficiently.

You'll likely be a fit if you've:

• Shipped real AI agents in production - not just prototypes
• Ideally built and operated some real-time monitoring on agents running in production too
• Got genuine distributed-systems depth (retries, idempotency, blast-radius thinking)
• Worked in TypeScript as your primary, recent stack – they tend to do more prompting these days but want someone senior enough to know when AI output needs overriding
• Shipped fast – and uses Claude / Codex / Cursor
• On-site for mid-level, more hybrid for Seniors, Bay Area SF
