Job summary

Powercast Corp., based in Pittsburgh, seeks a Software Engineer to support multiple application and product lines, working with the engineering team to design software and integrate wireless technologies.

You'll develop software using Bluetooth, RFID, and Wi‑Fi, provide essential support for product releases, and contribute to internal tools and documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Two years of programming experience preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
Background knowledge of wireless protocols (Bluetooth and RFID).

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering to design software for multiple products.
Develop software using wireless technologies including Bluetooth, RFID and Wi‑Fi.
Support product releases and post‑release maintenance.

Pittsburgh-based company specializing in wireless power, low power electronics design, and wireless communication solutions seeks a Software Engineer to support numerous application and product lines.

Overview

Work with the engineering team designing software for various products
Develop products using wireless technologies like Bluetooth, RFID, NFC, WIFI, etc...
Provide necessary support for product releases

Required Skills

Ability to evaluate product requirements to specify design criteria and tradeoffs
Results & team oriented with a strong desire for hands-on work
R&D work, building internal tools on demand
Willingness to work on multiple concurrent projects
Good communication skills required, interface with QA/Electrical/Mechanical/Management teams
Organized, good documentation skills

Experience

Preferred two years or more of programming experience
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Engineering preferred, Computer Science accepted
Background knowledge of wireless protocols, especially Bluetooth and RFID
