Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to support defense aviation flight software development and mission-critical aircraft systems. This onsite role is at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, OK, and will contribute to design, development, testing, and maintenance of flight software models for strategic bomber platforms.

The ideal candidate has C and/or ADA experience, familiarity with JIRA, and a Bachelor’s in a related field; active Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with C and/or ADA.
• Familiarity with JIRA for requirements management and tracking.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and software integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software system and subsystem engineering models.
• Develop and support operational flight software used for aircraft monitoring and testing.
• Analyze and translate customer requirements and technical specifications into software solutions.
• Support software integration efforts and enhance system performance and functionality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues while ensuring safety and quality standards.

This position is onsite at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, OK. The Software Engineer will support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software models and operational flight software for strategic bomber platforms. Required Qualifications for the Software Engineer include:

• Experience developing software using C and/or ADA.
• Experience with JIRA for requirements management, workflow tracking, and development activities.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and software integration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Must be a U.S. Person for export compliance purposes.
• Active Secret Clearance required to start.
• Experience with embedded software design is preferred.

Compensation for the Software Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 *relocation assistance offered depending on experience
