Job summary

Ford is seeking a Software Engineer for Enterprise Technology in the United States. You’ll work on web services, APIs, and microservices using a mix of modern tech and legacy systems being modernized.

You’ll collaborate with product teams, translate requirements into specs, and uphold engineering excellence with code reviews and DevSecOps practices. Opportunity to learn from senior engineers and grow your cloud and API solutions experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years with progressive responsibilities in Software Engineering, Architecture and Agile Framework.
• 3+ Core Java, Spring Boot, frontend framework such as React.js / Angular
• 3+ Modern databases (Relational and non-relational)

Responsibilities

• Serve as a core member of an engineering team that designs and develops webservices, webpages, APIs, and microservices.
• Collaborate with other product teams on integrations, testing, and deployments.
• Translate business requirements into detailed specifications.
• Ensure software engineering excellence (e.g. best practices and quality) is achieved within the product team.
• Collaborates with other Product Teams to reduce complexity across the product / product line, enhance interoperability between services, and make key design decisions across the portfolio.
• Innovate and operate with an iterative, agile and user-centric perspective.
• Clearly communicate with team members and internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrate software engineering excellence through actively coding, pairing, and performing code and architecture reviews with other software engineers within the product line.

In this position....

As a software engineer on our global team, you'll work with Google Cloud Platform, modern IDEs, and GenAI tools to write code — using a tech stack that's a mix of current technologies and legacy systems currently being modernized. You'll also apply advanced QoS metrics and DevSecOps practices, with plenty of opportunities to grow by learning from senior engineers on the team.

You’ll have...

• 3+ years with progressive responsibilities in Software Engineering, Architecture and Agile Framework.
• 3+ Core Java, Spring boot, frontend framework such as React.js / Angular
• 3+ Modern databases (Relational and non-relational)

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $115,000-$192,900.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
