Job summary

Empower LLC in Kentucky’s Northern region is hiring a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software across the full development lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and support delivery of reliable features.

What you will bring: a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, 1–3 years in software development, and proficiency in Java, Python, Swift, JavaScript, or similar.

The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications across the software development lifecycle. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, contribute to design and architecture discussions, troubleshoot complex software issues, and support delivery of reliable software features and components.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of professional experience and/or training.
• 1 - 3 years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Swift, JavaScript, or similar.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.

Base Salary Range

$87,400.00 - $123,400.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
