Job summary

Valiant Technologies LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, test, and deploy scalable applications. You will work with Python and Java, REST APIs, microservices, and databases across cloud/Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience developing REST APIs and Spring Boot or similar framework.
• Familiarity with one relational and one NoSQL database.
• Familiarity with Git, Linux, testing, Agile, and SDLC.
• Ability to analyze requirements and troubleshoot independently while collaborating.

• Create data access layers for PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Write maintainable code with SOLID and proper error handling; include tests.

• Use Git, Maven, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, Jira for docs/tests/delivery.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum, communicate tradeoffs and delivery risks.

Job Description:

The Software Engineer will design, build, test, deploy, and support scalable software applications and services. The role suits an engineer with experience in Python and Java, REST APIs, microservices, relational and NoSQL databases, modern web technologies, cloud platforms, Linux, Docker, and CI/CD. The engineer will collaborate with product, business, quality, and data teams to convert requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services, REST APIs, and modular or microservice-based applications using Python and/or Java.
• Design data access layers and integrations for PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, or comparable databases.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code using object-oriented design, SOLID principles, defensive validation, and appropriate error handling.
• Create unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews, defect resolution, release readiness, and production support.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and CI/CD pipelines across cloud or Linux environments.
• Use Git, Maven, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, and Jira to support development, documentation, testing, and delivery tracking.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams and communicate technical tradeoffs, delivery risks, dependencies, and progress.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience developing REST APIs and working with Spring Boot or a comparable application framework.
• Familiarity with one relational database and one NoSQL database.
• Familiarity with Git, Linux, software testing, Agile delivery, and the software development life cycle.
• Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver independently while collaborating across teams.
