Job summary

Runtime is building the bridge between the physical world and AI. You will translate enterprise challenges into robust software—data pipelines, APIs and applications—that scale with terabytes of daily data and real-time visibility for customers.

Join a small, autonomous team with strong customer exposure, delivering production-grade code and improving CI/CD. Hybrid work in New York or Dallas.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software or data engineering; strong CS/ engineering background welcomed even with less experience
• Strong Python for data-heavy work
• SQL and PySpark / Spark
• Cloud experience, ideally AWS
• Comfortable in front of a customer and explaining technical ideas
• Able to read code you didn’t write and improve it

New York, hybrid (3 days onsite) | $350M-funded Physical AI | $160,000 - $180,000

Build the bridge between the physical world and AI.

Everyone wants AI to run their supply chain. But AI is only as good as its data, and most companies still don't really know where their products are. They rely on manual scans at a handful of checkpoints and are effectively blind in between. This scale-up are changing that.

They combine wireless sensors with a cloud data and AI platform to give enterprises continuous, real-time visibility of their products: where they are, whether they're moving, and what condition they're in.

What you'll do

This is a software engineering role first, about 70% hands-on coding, with the customer exposure that makes it far more interesting than a typical backend job.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years in software or data engineering. Exceptional people with less experience and a strong CS or engineering background are welcome too.
• Strong Python, especially for data-heavy work
• SQL and PySpark / Spark
• Cloud experience, ideally AWS
• Comfortable in front of a customer: you explain technical ideas clearly and care about the "why" behind a problem
• Happy picking up code you didn't write and making it better

Bonus points (not required):

Databricks, Kafka or streaming, an electrical or computer engineering background, IoT, telemetry, logistics or supply chain experience, forward-deployed or consulting experience, Docker / Kubernetes.
