Job description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or in a related field of study plus 2 (Two) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or in a related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience in the following: Working with Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems, including system administration, troubleshooting, and command-line proficiency; Environment that implements the Agile Software Development Life Cycle; Designing and building out Java Microservices from the ground up; Designing and building out systems utilizing Maven, Kubernetes, AWS Cloud Services, and Docker; Building enterprise software in Spring and Java, utilizing J2EE and Jenkins; Architecting and leading a team to build out modern web applications using CSS, HTML, and Javascript; Utilizing SQL and backend development skills to develop REST APIs for clients to retrieve data from the system; Utilizing Git commands and managing code changes and deployments with GitHub; and Implementing and reviewing types of code testing such as automated testing, functional testing, manual testing, performance testing, regression testing, system integration testing, unit testing, and user acceptance testing.

Job Location: 383 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10017. Telecommuting/remote work permitted from any location within the U.S.

Full-Time. Salary: $146,000 - $185,000 per year.
