We are looking for aSoftware Engineerto join our growing engineering team. You will contribute to the design and development of scalable, secure, and user‑centric applications that power Versant’s next‑generation platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in startup‑like environments, is eager to learn, and is passionate about using SaaS and low‑code/no‑code platforms to deliver value quickly.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver full‑stack solutions that solve real business problems.
Implement scalable, fault‑tolerant microservices and modern front‑end applications.
Use SaaS and low‑code/no‑code platforms where appropriate to accelerate delivery.
Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and team knowledge‑sharing sessions.
Write secure, performant, and maintainable code.
Work closely with product and architecture teams to ensure alignment in technical direction and business priorities.
3–5 years of professional software development experience.
Strong knowledge of backend development in languages such as Java, Node.js, Python, or Go.
Develop scalable and high performing microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar).
Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues in distributed environments.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
Exposure to GenAI tools, SaaS platforms, and low‑code/no‑code tools.
Familiarity with serverless technologies and event‑driven architecture.
Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tooling (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation).
Working knowledge of monitoring stacks like Datadog, Prometheus, or ELK.
Experience modernizing legacy systems or integrating with enterprise platforms.
Awareness of DevOps practices and infrastructure‑as‑code.
Background in media, entertainment business domain is a plus.
Location: New York City, NY or Englewood Cliffs, NJ - (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
