Mission
The aim of this role is to architect, build, and continuously improve our internal app while automating our entire company's workflows. You will not only deliver features on our Next.js and Supabase stack but will proactively identify automation opportunities across the business. Your mission includes building powerful alutomations using both code and no-code tools to make our content operations more efficient and leaner, ultimately transforming how we work through technology.

  • Key success metric:
    • Business-wide Automation: Successfully identify and implement automations that significantly reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency across the company.
  • Architect and implement full-stack solutions using Next.js and Supabase that enhance our internal app's capabilities.
  • Proactively identify workflows throughout the business that can be automated, and implement efficient solutions using appropriate technologies.
  • Seamlessly integrate multiple external APIs—including LLM APIs such as Anthropic, OpenAI, perplexity, and others—to extend our automation capabilities.
  • Utilize AI tools (e.g., Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude) and prompt engineering best practices (using tools like Anthropics Workbench or Playground) to accelerate development and innovate new automation solutions.
  • Design and implement powerful business automations using both code and no-code tools (like n8n, Make, Zapier) that eliminate repetitive tasks and significantly reduce manual effort in content production.
  • Create effective integrations between our app and various automation platforms to streamline business processes.
  • Demonstrate excellent command of version control (Git) and project management to ensure a robust, maintainable codebase.
  • Collaborate closely with our co-founder and team through daily one-on-ones (initially) and weekly syncs to align on automation goals and progress.
  • Continuously audit business processes to identify new automation opportunities that can save significant time and resources.

    • Note: There is significant scope to increase compensation as the role evolves and as you demonstrate exceptional value through automation and efficiency gains.
    Bonus:
    • Discretionary bonus based on performance and the overall impact of the automations and features you deliver.
    Onboarding & Probation
    • Probation Period: One month on a part-time basis, during which you'll be expected to demonstrate your ability to quickly self-start and contribute.
    • Onboarding Process:
      • You'll download our repository and be expected to understand the architecture largely on your own—with support from our co-founder and by leveraging AI tools like Cursor.
      • Daily one-on-ones initially (to get you up to speed), transitioning to weekly syncs as you settle in.
      • Within the first month, you'll be expected to shadow different team members to understand workflows and identify operational bottlenecks across the company.
      • By the end of the probation period, you should present at least 3-5 potential automation opportunities you've identified, with a clear implementation plan for each.
      • Success in the role will be measured by your ability to not only execute technical tasks but also proactively identify and solve operational inefficiencies throughout the business.
