Taxfyle is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Engineering Department in Coconut Grove, FL. This in-office role offers remote work flexibility and reports to the Engineering Manager. The annual salary ranges from $70,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience.

You will collaborate with designers, business analysts, and other engineers to build our high-powered work management platform, wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience building production-quality software.
• Proficiency with C#, React, TypeScript, Node.js, Dart, Flutter, Google Cloud, Postgres, Docker, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience developing high-performance, scalable, distributed systems.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to code quality.
• Positive attitude and passion for sharing knowledge.
• Ability to promote engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality software solutions in line with coding standards and designs.
• Collaborate with product and development teams to implement customer feature requests using Agile methods.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve processes and codebase.
• Write tests at unit, integration, system, and UI levels.
• Develop clean, scalable services, components, and APIs used by products.
• Own projects from design to release and communicate with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build high-quality, innovative, and high-performing software solutions in compliance with coding standards and technical designs
• Collaborate with product and development team members to build intelligent solutions to customer feature requests using agile development methodologies
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to continually improve our process and codebase
• Write tests at different levels (unit, integration, system, UI)
• Write clean and scalable services, components, and APIs that our products depend on
• Own projects from design to release, including communication with stakeholders
• Remain flexible enough to handle all of the unknowns that come with a fast-growing company
• Ability to partner effectively with the Partner Success team to understand client-facing challenges and translate them into technical solutions
• Demonstrate initiative in identifying inefficiencies and applying technology to streamline workflows, reduce manual tasks, and improve client experiences
• Comfortable experimenting with emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to create tools that improve productivity and decision-making
• Clearly communicates technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering trust and alignment across teams
• Thrive in fast-paced, evolving environment with willingness to learn and apply new skills, particularly in automation and data-driven process improvement
• Keeps client experience in mind when designing solutions that directly impact service quality and efficiency
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and evolving tasks with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience building production-quality software
• Proficiency with any part of our technology stack: C#, React, TypeScript, Node.js, Dart, Flutter, Google Cloud, Postgres, Docker, and Elasticsearch
• Experience developing cutting-edge solutions to maximize performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities
• Have an eye for detail and a borderline unhealthy level of OCD for code quality
• A positive attitude and a passion for sharing knowledge
• Ability to encourage and drive engineering best practices
