Job summary

Cadre5 is seeking a software engineer to join our Knoxville-area team working on the G2 program management system for the NNSA. You will design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise and web applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, REST APIs, and SQL Server.

You will collaborate with engineers, UI/UX designers, and customers in an agile, team-focused environment. Candidates must reside within 90 miles of Knoxville to support weekly on-site days.

Qualifications

• This position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience developing software using C# and .NET.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, T-SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience developing and supporting web applications.
• Understanding of object-oriented design and multi-tier architecture.
• Experience working within an Agile software development team.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to requirements of the federal government contract supporting the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). This position does not require a security clearance.
• Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule, with a preference for weekly on-site workdays in Knoxville, TN.

About the Project:

In this role, you'll work as part of the Cadre5 team supporting G2, a program management system that helps the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) manage complex programs and maintain visibility across its work. G2 brings together critical program information, including scope, schedules, budgets, and performance metrics, into a centralized system. This enables NNSA and its organizations to better manage programs, track performance, and support effective program oversight.

• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Experience with Git and pull-request-based development.
