Position Overview

HRUCKUS is seeking a Software Engineer (Mid) to support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Huntsville, AL. This onsite assignment requires an active Top‑Secret clearance and 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, Vue.js, and related technologies.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy and manage AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS) to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Data Integration: Automate ingestion and processing pipelines with Apache TIKA and Apache NiFI.
• Search & Analytics: Build advanced search functions and real‑time analytics using ElasticSearch.
• Collaboration: Work with cross‑functional teams, including data engineers, system architects, and security specialists.
• Security: Follow FBI security policies and best practices for secure coding.
• Documentation: Produce clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation guides.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor systems, identify bottlenecks, and optimize application performance.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and advocate for best engineering practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 per year.
• Full‑time, onsite assignment.
