Job description

Multiplied is a human intelligence company changing how AI learns from frontline expertise. While most AI systems are trained on documents and structured data, we capture the verbal, visual, and spatial knowledge that lives with technicians, operators, and field experts — the kind of expertise that rarely gets written down. Our flagship platform turns frontline knowledge into actionable intelligence for large-scale industrial and EPC construction, starting with LNG. We're actively deployed across some of the largest LNG projects in North America.

About the Role

We're hiring a Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Houston, TX. You'll build and ship features across our AI-powered platform — a mobile-first system used by thousands of frontline workers, supervisors, and operations teams at active industrial construction sites.

The role includes production support for our software and onsite support at customer deployments, which involves periodic travel to customer sites — particularly during major rollouts.

We're hiring for this role across two tracks. You can join us as a strong fit on either:

  • Track A — Modern Web & Mobile Development Build and scale our customer-facing web and mobile applications using React, TypeScript, React Native, and Node.js, deployed on Azure.
  • Track B — AI & Agentic Systems Build and ship production-grade AI features on our platform, including agentic workflows, LLM-powered features, RAG pipelines, and AI-assisted authoring tools.
What You’ll Do
  • Design, build, and ship features across our platform — web, mobile, backend, or AI depending on your track
  • Own your work end-to-end: from design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and iteration
  • Provide production support for the software you and the team ship — including debugging, log analysis, and resolving live issues
  • Travel to customer sites to support major deployments, troubleshoot in field conditions, and gather direct feedback from end users
  • Bring field learnings back into the product — translating what you see on‑site into engineering improvements
  • Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers on architecture, code reviews, and technical decisions
What We’re Looking For (Common to Both Tracks)
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems
  • Solid engineering fundamentals: data structures, system design, API design, debugging, and writing maintainable code
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and modern deployment practices
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, especially in complex, multi‑system environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication — you can work directly with both engineers and non‑technical users
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites (periodic travel, with longer stays during major deployments)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong programming skills in TypeScript, React, and Node.js
  • Hands‑on experience with React Native or native mobile development (iOS/Android)
  • Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs and modern frontend architecture
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, and data modeling
Track B — AI & Agentic Systems
  • Hands‑on experience building and shipping production‑grade AI features (not just prototypes or notebooks)
  • Strong working knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, and modern AI application patterns
  • Experience with agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, or similar) and tool‑using AI systems
  • Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, RAG pipelines, and evaluation frameworks
  • Comfort with Python and/or TypeScript for AI/backend development
Nice to Have (Either Track)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines
  • Prior experience supporting enterprise software deployments or working directly with customers
  • Background in industrial, construction, energy, or other field‑operations software
  • Open‑source contributions or a strong public technical profile (GitHub, blog, talks)
Why Join Us
  • Build AI products that solve real, tangible problems for frontline workers — not just another SaaS dashboard
  • Work on a modern stack: React, React Native, Node.js, Azure, LLMs, vector DBs, and agentic AI
  • See your code in the hands of real users at some of the largest industrial construction projects in North America
  • High‑ownership culture with the freedom to experiment, ship fast, and shape the product
  • Competitive compensation, including salary, performance bonus, and equity
