Purpose of Position

We are seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain tools and plugins that support the creation and management of the data and content that make up the simulation environment. This role works closely with the modeling team to streamline workflow across 3D modeling, GIS, and asset management systems.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain plugins for tools such as Autodesk 3ds Max, ArcGIS Pro, MACE.
  • Build and optimize tools and plugins using C++ and C#.
  • Develop and maintain software that performs geometry processing and spatial transformations.
  • Integrate tools using Python, Perl, XML, and JSON.
  • Develop tools that interact with Perforce to manage, organize, and release simulation environment data. Collaborate with modeling and simulation teams.
Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other applicable technical field; and two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience

2+ years of related experience in software engineering preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Strong proficiency in C++.
  • Experience with C#.
  • Solid understanding of linear algebra (vectors, matrices, transformations). They don’t need advanced math, but they must be comfortable using vectors, matrices, and coordinate transformations in code.
Would be a plus:
  • Experience with 3D modeling tools or GIS software.
  • Familiarity with simulation or graphics pipelines.
  • Scripting experience (Python, Perl).
  • Experience with structure data formats (XML, JSON).
