Sotalent in Falls Church, VA seeks a software engineer to translate advanced image and signal processing algorithms from Python into high-performance C or C++. You will collaborate with physicists and engineers and support the full software lifecycle from prototyping through deployment.

Responsibilities include performance analysis on real-world datasets and ensuring robust, scalable code. A strong background in scientific computing and professional writing are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Degree in mathematics, physics, or engineering with a focus on scientific computing is sought.
• Proficiency in Python and its NumPy, SciPy, and Pandas libraries, and in C or C++.
• U.S. citizens able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
• Strong technical writing skills are also required.
