Radiant Systems Inc. is seeking a software developer to plan and coordinate requirements gathering, design, development and deployment of client information systems and software applications for autonomous maritime vehicles.

The candidate will maintain, support, and upgrade existing client systems, applying strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Primary work involves Windows/Linux development and embedded code for autonomous vessels.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related engineering; 6+ years of experience.
• 4+ years direct experience in software development and/or programming design and systems management.
• 4+ years of experience with C#, C++, C.
• Experience in all phases of the software development life-cycle.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, RS232.
• Highly proficient in C# development.
• Strong knowledge of Git or Visual Studio version control.
• Experience with multi-threaded programming & design.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving.

The successful candidate will assist in planning and coordinating all activities related to requirements gathering, design, development and implementation of client information systems and software applications. The developer will also be responsible for maintaining, supporting and upgrading existing client systems and applications. The candidate will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills and knowledge of best practices to work on issues related to the design, development and deployment of client oriented, mission-critical information and software systems. The candidate will be responsible for software requirement development, software test and integration, application and embedded code with C# and C/C++, Windows/Linux based development for autonomous maritime vehicles

The candidate must be able to clearly communicate both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. Strong interpersonal skills are required due to continual interaction with customers and users with varying technical backgrounds in a fast-paced work environment.

Essential Functions:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science or related engineering degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 12 years of prior related experience.
• 4+ years direct experience in software development and/or programming design and systems management.
• 4+ years of experience with C#, C++, C
• Experience in all phases of the software development life-cycle
• Strong understanding of various communications protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS232.
• Highly proficient in C# development
• Strong knowledge of version control (Git or Visual Team Services)
• Experience with multi-threaded programming & design
• Strong ability to grasp and apply new information quicklyHigh attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task and enthusiastic attitude

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with Robotic systems
• Experience with autonomous underwater vehicle sensor payloads (such as Doppler velocity logs, Sidescan sonar, Multibeam and Internal navigation systems)
• Experience working within an Agile development environment is highly desirable.
