Harvey Nash Group is seeking a Software Development Engineer IV to design, develop, and deliver scalable, distributed software in a Linux environment. The role requires strong expertise in Java, Python, and TypeScript, AWS cloud development, and end-to-end software delivery.

Location is Dallas, TX / Arlington, VA onsite, duration 15 months, with a 24x7 on-call rotation and travel for onsite launches; on-site work five days a week.

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer IV to design, develop, and deliver scalable, distributed software applications and services in a Linux environment. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java/Python/TypeScript, AWS cloud development, and end-to-end software development, with solid experience in system design, data structures and algorithms, distributed systems, and database technologies. Experience with multi-threaded programming, CI/CD, and system architecture is highly preferred.

Here are some of the specific details:

Title: Software Development Engineer IV

Location: Dallas, TX / Arlington, VA (5 days a week)

Duration: 15 months

Mode of Work: Onsite

Mode of Interview: Onsite (1 round loop interview for 2 hours)

Job Description:

• Overall 10+ Years of IT Experience required
• Design, develop, implement, test, document and deliver large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems and services using multi-threaded programming, distributed programming in Java and C++, JDBC, SQL, Object Oriented design and design patterns, Oracle, and middleware messaging systems in a Linux environment.
• Assist in gathering and analyzing business and functional requirements, and translate requirements into technical specifications for robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
• Own delivery of entire piece of system or application and serve as technical lead on complex projects using best practice engineering standards.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and travel for onsite troubleshooting or project launch.
• Qualifications -MS in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus one year of experience in the job offered or related occupations of Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related.
• Experience in the job offered or related occupation must involve multi-threaded programming and distributed programming in Java or C++ on Linux.
• Experience must also involve JDBC, SQL, and Object-Oriented design and design patterns.
• Requires availability for travel and 24x7 on-call support rotation.
• Employer will accept Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty as equivalent to the Master's degree.
