OverviewSCCI seeks a Software Engineer to join the GFCS team in Dahlgren, VA, contributing to the Battle Management System and related weapon system projects. You will design, develop, test, and integrate software in an Agile environment, collaborating with engineers, testers, and SMEs to deliver robust solutions.

The role requires DoD experience, a BS in a technical discipline, and a strong background in C++/Python, Linux, and containers.

Competenze

• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance
• BS in engineering/scientific/technical discipline or equivalent hands-on weapon system experience
• 5 years of full-time DoD software engineering experience
• At least 2 years supporting a major weapons system
• 5 years of software development in C++/Python
• 1+ year in containers
• Knowledge of memory and networking tools (GDB/Valgrind/Wireshark)
• Linux operating system proficiency
• Experience with IDEs
• Qt experience desired but not required
• Ability to work independently
• Able to translate math problems into software
• Willingness to travel

OverviewSCCI is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in support of work on a Gun Fire Control System (GFCS). The GFCS team primarily focuses on developing software under the Battle Management System (BMS) for Gun Weapon System projects in the BMS portfolio. Software development is conducted under an Agile development structure and includes end-to-end related tasking.
