Job summary

BecTech, Inc. is seeking a support role focused on Surface to Air Missile Communications. The ideal candidate will help integrate command and control systems and provide performance assessment support to the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense Program Office.

Job description

This is a program office role, rather than a software development role. As such, the individual does not perform technical work but rather supports it through a holistic understanding of the weapon system, software requirements, performance metrics, etc. The ideal candidate is a keen learner who asks questions for better understanding.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Responsible for Surface to Air Missile Communications support for Radio Frequency missile communications components.
  • Operational and technical support to integrate existing and developing operational command and control systems.
  • Develop and document system architectures and functions in applicable Interface Control Documents, specifically the interface document.
  • Provide performance assessment and verification (PAV) support to the Systems Engineer for Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense Program Office.
  • PAV processes and plan development, monitor and implement plans to assess and verify system performance
What We Need From You
  • US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree (STEM)
  • 7+ years of experience working on DOD or missile defense software programs
  • Works Independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks
  • Ability to apply engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems
  • Understanding of how to provide programmatic oversight of a major weapons system. Experience in radio frequency concepts, components, development and integration within the missile sections.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have
  • Prior experience with Aegis Weapons Systems
  • Experience with Missile System Software Development
  • Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.
