A leading financial services firm is seeking a Software Engineer to design and implement software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field and experience in software development, particularly using J2EE technologies and cloud services. Duties: Design, develop, and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take an active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned with pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field plus 1 year of experience in the role or as a Software Engineer, Technology Consultant, Software Developer, or related occupation. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in the same fields plus 3 years of relevant experience.
Skills Required: Experience with designing, developing, and implementing software products across financial domains using J2EE technologies (Spring, Hibernate, Struts, EJB, etc.), UI frameworks (HTML, CSS, JSP), database integration (MSSQL, Oracle, MongoDB), SQL and PL/SQL, UML, automation testing (Grails, RESTful services), enterprise application deployment (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere), IDEs (Eclipse, NetBeans), JUnit, J2EE design patterns, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), AWS Cloud Services, and IaC tools (Terraform).
