Everforth ECS is seeking a Software Engineer to join on-site at the Chantilly, VA customer site. The role focuses on developing applications and APIs for analytics, with strong DevSecOps practices and an Agile team.

The ideal candidate has a TS/SCI clearance, a STEM degree, 4–6+ years in enterprise systems, and hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift, Linux CLI, and automation tools like GitLab and Jira.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI or FS polygraph required.
• 4–6+ years designing, coding, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level systems.
• Experience with DevSecOps (GitLab, Jira) and modern software stacks.
• Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, OpenShift) and Linux CLI.

Everforth ECS is seeking an innovative and articulate Software Engineer to support the execution of a variety of projects including the development of applications and APIs for help users perform analytic functions. This position requires strong technical skills in software development and enterprise application integration. You will work closely with the technical team to develop, test, deploy, and maintain solutions in an Agile environment, promoting excellence in collaboration and customer service. You should expect a fast-paced, multidisciplinary-team environment with tight deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop software solutions by conferring with stakeholders, studying information needs, and analyzing system flow, data usage, and work processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field
• Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance with a Counterintelligence (CI) or Full-Scope (FS) polygraph required
• 4-6+ years of experience designing, coding, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level systems
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualize processes and anticipate outcomes
• Experience with brownfield applications, identifying opportunities for improvement and designing/implementing new features
• Experience with DevSecOps frameworks (e.g. GitLab, Jira)
• Experience developing architecture/system diagrams and data flow diagrams
• Experience with containerization/orchestration technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Experience with Linux command-line interface (CLI) including scripting in Bash, Python, etc.
• Experience working in an Agile environment (e.g. work breakdown/refinement, ongoing task updates)
• Excellent communication/presentation skills to make recommendations to stakeholders with varying degrees of technical awareness

Desired Skills

• Master's degree in Engineering in Computer Science or a related technical field
• DoD Approved 8570, IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CySA+, Security+)
• 7+ years of experience designing, coding, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level systems
• Experience with UI frameworks (e.g. React)
• Experience with automation engines (e.g. Ansible)
• Experience utilizing big data tools (e.g. Airflow, Django, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure)
• Experience in computer vision, computer graphics, and homography
• Experience with Geographic Information System (GIS) data
• Experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) organizations or performers
