Job summary

Parsons is hiring a Software Engineer to support enterprise mission applications within our Mission Software Directorate. You will join an Agile team, designing, developing, testing, and deploying Java-based microservices in Docker containers on AWS.

The role emphasizes strong OO design, Angular UI/UX for Java apps, and clear communication. US citizenship is required due to DoD work, with opportunities to grow in a federal solutions environment.

• 2+ years of experience designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging enterprise application software.
• Experience in object-oriented analysis and design techniques.
• Experience with CM tools and best practices.

• Experience using Docker containers for development and deployment.
• Experience with Kubernetes runtime environments in AWS cloud environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English; US citizenship due to DoD contract.

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a Software Engineer with an enterprise software development background who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be a member of a growing Agile team supporting the development of critical mission applications for the C2 AOC community as a member of Parsons' Mission Software Directorate.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an engineering field with at least 2 years technical experience. Relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree

• Experience designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging enterprise application or platform infrastructure software

• Experience in object-oriented analysis and design techniques

• Experience with common CM tools and best practices

• Angular UI/UX experience for Java Applications

• Java application development experience, specifically microservice architectures

• Experience using Docker containers for development and deployment

• Experience with Kubernetes runtime environments based in AWS cloud environments

• Great interpersonal and communications skills, while establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with team members

• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly.

• Excellent communication skills, in both spoken and written English

• Must be a US Citizen due to DoD contract

Desired Skills

• Experience working in an Agile Software Development environment using the Scrum methodology

Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
