York Solutions is hiring a Mid‑Level Software Engineer to join the Digital Solutions team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Azure Cloud, microservices, and modern development frameworks to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and interoperable solutions. You will play a key role in enabling seamless data exchange, imaging workflows, and system integrations while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Location: Onsite, either Sylmar, CA (preferred) or St. Paul, MN

Responsibilities

• Design and develop microservices‑based applications using Java (Spring Boot) deployed in Azure Cloud.
• Implement scalable, secure APIs and back‑end services.
• Participate in architectural discussions on cloud‑native design, event‑driven systems, and system integrations.
• Build and maintain integrations with third‑party healthcare systems using HL7, FHIR, and CCD standards.
• Develop imaging solutions supporting DICOM protocols for medical imaging exchange.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other healthcare industry standards.
• Implement robust security measures, encryption, and audit logging for sensitive clinical data.
• Optimize performance and scalability for high‑availability healthcare environments.
• Work closely with clinicians, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver features that improve patient care and provider workflows.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud deployment best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across distributed cloud systems in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Java with Spring Boot.
• Experience with Azure Cloud services, microservices design, and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and event‑driven architectures.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar).
