Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience or equivalent.
• Experience with a modern client-side web framework (Vue) and server-side framework (Django).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Experience writing unit tests and with build/deployment automation (CircleCI).
• Experience with version control (Git).

Responsibilities

• Support the creation of features from zero to production.
• Participate in the review of upcoming features for feasibility and sizing.
• Contribute to patterns and practices and take on new responsibilities as we grow.
• Participate in code reviews since no one works alone.
• Triage issues from users.
• Participate in a team lunch and in-person meeting one day a week.

Software Engineer II / Senior Software Engineer

Location

HelixIntel adds talent for in-office and hybrid roles. This role allows for a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of one day in office per week. Our company is based in Buffalo, NY.

We are hiring for this role at both the mid and senior level. Title and compensation are set based on experience.

Within this range, individual pay is influenced by the work location and other factors, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
