Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience with Java/J2EE, XML, DB2 and SQL.
• Proficiency with design artifacts such as class, sequence, and activity diagrams.
• Desirable: P&C insurance domain, WebSphere, JBoss, Mule ESB, Drools, JUnit, Hibernate/MyBatis, Spring, web services, Unix shell scripting.
• Experience designing and developing SOAP and REST web services.
• Frontend experience preferred with AngularJS.
• Knowledge of P&C homeowners or renters insurance.
• Strong IT concepts, architectures and modern tech stacks.

Our client seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support web-based insurance applications. The role requires building robust business applications that enable product sales, customer engagement, and agent communications. The engineer will stay current with internet trends, technologies, and best practices, solve problems, analyze workflows, collaborate across teams, communicate effectively, and contribute hands-on while guiding others to promote partnership and collegiality.

Responsibilities
