Responsibilities

Windows agent developers are solid software engineers developing system applications on the Windows platform for real-time analytics, security and monitoring. Responsibilities include being involved in the product development lifecycle from concept to production as an integral member of the team, working with cross‑functional teams including data engineers, data scientists and UX/UI engineers, and developing features to enable data center network visibility and management at a tremendous scale.

Qualifications

• Solid computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, object‑oriented design, and networking
• Strong software engineering experience
• Understanding of networking (OSI layers), TCP/IP stack
• Knowledge of security concepts such as SSL, TLS, IPSec, crypto, authentication and Windows firewalls
• Strong system and networking programming skills with C/C++ using libraries such as Protocol Buffer, OpenSSL, Boost
• Programming with Win32 SDK
• Experience building, packaging, deploying and debugging system applications in Windows environments
• Writing unit and integration tests
• Experience working with production code in a relevant field

Preferred Skills

• Windows Firewall API on MS Windows Server
• Experience developing system applications on Windows such as Symantec Anti‑Virus or Symantec Endpoint Protection, McAfee Anti‑Virus, Snort, WinPcap or Wireshark for Windows
