About The Job You're Considering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Python and/or Java development and a strong understanding of Telecom Networks and Services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, reviewing, and optimizing software solutions that support telecommunications platforms, network services, OSS/BSS systems, automation initiatives, and service delivery applications.

This role requires strong hands‑on coding capabilities, technical leadership, problem‑solving expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, high‑quality software solutions.

Your role
  • Develop, test, and deploy scalable applications and services using Python and/or Java, ensuring high code quality and maintainability.
  • Design and implement new features, APIs, and integrations across the application stack based on business and technical requirements.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects, performance bottlenecks, and production issues.
  • Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability through code enhancements and refactoring initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Product, Network Engineering, Architecture, and Operations teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in development processes, CI/CD pipelines, testing methodologies, and engineering practices.
  • Contribute to technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and mentoring of junior developers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, network, and production issues.
Your Skills And Experience
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5-7 years of software development experience with Python and/or Java in enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience in designing, developing, and supporting distributed applications and microservices.
  • Proven experience working within Telecom Networks and Services environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming, software design patterns, and system architecture.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in cross‑functional teams.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $68,911-$161,544.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
