Job summary

AdvanSoft is seeking a Software Engineer in Illinois to analyze, design, and develop business applications. The role involves gathering requirements, configuring systems, and preparing detailed flow diagrams for internal QA and user training.

You will work with OO programming languages and ERP systems to ensure system compatibility and ongoing improvements. Responsibilities include testing, maintaining, and documenting programs, coordinating installations, and assisting users with issues.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze, Design, Develop business applications.
• Gather requirements to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems,
• Customization of existing system,
• Analyze and evaluate present or proposed business procedures,
• Configuration of the system,
• Prepare detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining systems capabilities and processes, functional design, internal QA, user acceptance testing, and end user training,
• Select among authorized procedures and seek assistance when guidelines are inadequate, significant deviations are proposed, or when unanticipated problems arise,
• Maintain compatibility between systems,
• Write and maintain system documentation,
• Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current system.
• Use object-oriented programming languages, client and server applications development processes, ERP system, multimedia and Internet technology.
• Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems.
• Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems.
