Job summary

Collabera is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in software engineering and a strong understanding of software development methodologies.

Responsibilities include engaging in all software life cycle activities such as planning, design, implementation, and verification. Candidates must also have a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field and be a US citizen or permanent resident due to ITAR restrictions.

The preferred candidate will be highly motivated with demonstrated initiative, and have a thorough understanding of software engineering principles and best practices, and defined SW development methodology.

The successful candidate will be able to participate in all software life cycle activities including: planning, requirements analysis, design – architecture and detailed design, implementation, HW/SW integration, and verification/validation.

A strong desire to learn, implement, and advocate for the use of defined SW development methodologies, such as MIL-STD-498 or J-STD-016 and the best practices contained therein, may offset a lack of the preferred knowledge and experience.
