Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support the EA‑18G Growler program at Point Mugu and Camarillo, CA. On-site work is required with no telework options.

You will develop embedded real-time software, work within an Agile scrum team, and collaborate across customers and NG sites to deliver robust systems. Strong C/C++, Ada, and OO skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a STEM field with 2 years of experience or MS degree with 1 year of experience.
• Experience with Ada, C/C++, and C# programming.
• Knowledge of object-oriented software development.
• Ability to function as part of an integrated team.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, ClearCase).
• US Citizenship required and current DoD Secret or higher clearance.

Description

The Embedded Software Engineer will support the EA‑18G Growler Program, performing software tasking at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Point Mugu and the Northrop Grumman Camarillo, CA office. This position requires on‑site work; no virtual or telecommute options are available.

Basic Qualifications

• BS degree in a STEM field with 2 years of experience, or MS degree in a STEM field with 1 year of experience
• Experience with higher‑order languages such as Ada, C/C++, C#
• Knowledge of object‑oriented software development
• Ability to function as a member of an integrated team
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket, ClearCase)
• US Citizenship required
• Current DoD Secret Clearance or higher

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
• Strong collaborative mindset
• Experience working full software life cycle on a large‑scale formal DoD program
• Experience programming with Ada language

Primary Level Salary Range

$91,800.00 – $137,600.00 (annual base salary may vary based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions)
