As a senior technical authority, you will serve as a key technical interface to strategic customers and ecosystem partners, engaging in forward‑looking discussions that influence software direction, platform capabilities, and ecosystem readiness. You will collaborate closely with hardware and software architects across AMD to drive alignment, identify architectural tradeoffs, and address software and system‑level bottlenecks impacting performance, scalability, and end‑user experiences.

The Person

The successful candidate is a technically accomplished architect and ecosystem leader who brings deep system‑level expertise and a strong ability to influence long‑term software and platform direction.

  • Excels at collaborating across hardware, software, and architecture teams, influencing both software and system‑level architectural decisions for next‑generation Client and Graphics products.
  • Demonstrates a system‑level mindset with the ability to translate strategic intent into concrete architectural direction and scalable software foundations.
  • Serves as a trusted technical authority in customer and partner engagements, able to shape forward‑looking discussions and influence ecosystem direction through technical credibility.
  • Brings a long‑term perspective, balancing near‑term technical decisions with multi‑year architectural, IP, and ecosystem considerations.
  • Communicates complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences, including senior technical leaders and executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the technical software architecture and long‑term software direction across the Client and Graphics product portfolio, aligned with multi‑year strategic objectives and informed by market inflections and competitive analysis.
  • Define, document, and evolve software architectural requirements that inform multi‑year product roadmaps and long‑term IP planning.
  • Partner closely with software and hardware architects across AMD to translate strategic intent into concrete architectural requirements and cohesive software roadmaps.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface for strategic customer engagements, shaping forward‑looking software initiatives and influencing long‑term ecosystem and platform direction.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and address software and system‑level bottlenecks impacting performance, scalability, and end‑user experiences across diverse workloads.
  • Lead software architecture planning for AI‑driven experiences, working closely with the Windows ecosystem and broader platform partners to ensure alignment and technical readiness.
Preferred Experience
  • Deep technical background in systems architecture or advanced software engineering roles, with demonstrated experience operating at platform or system level.
  • Hands‑on experience with the Windows ecosystem and AMD software technologies, including GPU and compute software stacks such as Open GPU, ROCm, etc.
  • Proven expertise in defining and influencing multi‑year architectural strategies, including long‑term IP planning and software roadmap development.
  • Experience with consumer AI software ecosystems and AI‑driven user experiences, with an understanding of architectural requirements across diverse workloads.
  • Strong familiarity with PC and Gaming silicon, system design, and associated software ecosystems.
  • Track record of working across hardware and software boundaries to identify architectural tradeoffs and drive technically sound, forward‑looking solutions.
