Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Development Manager to build and manage services securing Amazon sites worldwide. You will own the brain of Amazon Optics, coordinating across Development, Operations and IT Support to deliver secure, scalable services for AWS and Amazon employees.

The role requires proactive leadership, architectural ownership, and a strong customer-focused mindset. Expect collaboration, growth, and opportunities to influence security infrastructure across the globe.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience.

Responsibilities

• Owns software architecture, product, or suite of products with considerable business impact.
• Leads the team in defining vision and strategy aligned with customer needs.
• Delegates oversight of components, processes, and operations while maintaining ownership.
• Solves complex problems and mitigates risks proactively to avoid roadblocks.
• Partners with customers and internal teams to deliver scalable security services.
