Job summary

Amazon S3 Fleet Management is hiring a Software Development Manager to lead a high-performance team delivering cloud-based automation services. You will mentor engineers, own roadmaps, and drive agile processes for internal AWS customers in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.

You will collaborate with product and program teams, shape long-term strategy, and partner with internal customers to meet evolving requirements while maintaining reliability and scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting scalable systems.
• 8+ years leading the definition and development of multi tier web services.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.

• Build and manage a high-performance team of Software Development Engineers and System Development Engineers.
• Foster career growth of team members and a strong team culture.
• Partner with our internal customers to understand requirements, set priorities and communicate direction and progress.
• Own roadmaps, operational metrics, and support for your team’s services
• Manage the agile development process and methodology to deliver incremental value to our internal and external customers.
• Help develop long-term strategy and vision for the team and the products.
