Amazon Web Services (Route 53) is offering a Software Development Manager position in person in Arlington, VA / Herndon VA USA.
In this role, you will be leading a team working on the development of a Tier-1 AWS service, Route 53 Global Resolver for customers focusing on a globally distributed DNS resolution service. You will be responsible for building and scaling a secure, highly available Anycast DNS resolver that enables customers to resolve both public and private DNS queries from anywhere while maintaining strong security controls and compliance requirements. We are looking for a proven and motivated Engineering leader to take our services software development team to the next level. As a leader, you will be responsible for significantly improving the service, making tough prioritization decisions, iterating and innovating, and thinking through distributed systems problems. You need to be technically deep, be able to communicate clearly, and have the ability to build a strong team that delivers results. The Amazon Web Services business requires creative engineering and a strong customer focus, and you will work with your team and senior leadership to develop and launch high quality services. You will manage and lead a team of engineers to influence our overall strategy and define the team’s roadmap. You will also help drive the system architecture, spearhead best practices that enable a quality product, and help coach and develop team members. A successful candidate will have an established background in managing and delivering software projects, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
