Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the Invoicing Entities team.

You will manage engineers building distributed services for AWS billing, including CoBRAS, Entity Resolution Service, and Transaction Resolution Service, on a scale that touches every AWS transaction. You will shape technical direction, mentor engineers, reduce operational burden, and own end-to-end processes for launching new Sellers of Record in new jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting scalable systems.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Knowledge of full software development lifecycle practices.

Responsibilities

• Hire and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Own the technical roadmap for entity management and billing services.
• Maintain Tier-1 operational excellence and drive incident response.
• Deliver the SOR launch process for new jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with Legal, Tax, International Expansion and Compliance stakeholders.
• Drive architectural decisions for configurability and reuse.
