Job description

Accentuate Staffing is working with a healthcare non-profit organization that is hiring a Software Development Manager to help lead its application development team. This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven organization that develops and supports technology used by internal teams and external users, with a focus on quality, reliability, and continuous improvement. This person will work closely with IT leadership to help guide the team, improve structure, and keep development efforts on track. We are looking for someone who has managed software developers but still likes to stay close to the technology. In this role, you’ll oversee the full software development lifecycle, guide technical decisions, support releases and production systems, and work with product, business, and technical teams. Strong experience with C#, relational databases, cloud platforms, and modern development practices will be important, along with a leadership style that is collaborative, steady, and coaching-oriented.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop software engineers and related team members through regular one-on-ones, performance feedback, onboarding, mentoring, and career development support.
  • Manage sprint execution, project delivery, and development priorities to ensure work is completed on time while maintaining quality, accountability, and alignment with business needs.
  • Stay actively involved in technical work, including code review, debugging, testing, system enhancements, architecture discussions, and application design decisions.
  • Partner with IT leadership, product teams, design, vendors, and business stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate feasibility, communicate risks, and align technology efforts with organizational goals.
  • Oversee application releases, deployments, production support, incident response, documentation, and ongoing improvements to system stability, security, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Evaluate tools, frameworks, vendors, and process improvements that can strengthen software quality, team efficiency, and long‑term platform performance.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership or people management role overseeing developers or software teams.
  • Strong hands‑on background developing web or client/server applications using Microsoft technologies, with C# experience required and Angular or TypeScript experience preferred.
  • Experience working with relational databases, document databases, cloud platforms such as AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and modern infrastructure or deployment practices.
  • Ability to guide technical design decisions, support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and promote scalable, secure, maintainable software solutions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Servant‑leadership mindset with a track record of building trust, developing team members, encouraging accountability, adapting to changing priorities, and following through on commitments.
