Job summary

Clarity Partners in Chicago is hiring a Software Development Intern who will design, develop, test, and deploy web applications using C#.NET, React/Redux, and SQL Server. You will work with senior developers on real client projects and gain hands-on experience across the full stack.

This onsite internship emphasizes cloud basics, DevOps, and AI-assisted tooling, with mentorship. Compensation is $31.00–$34.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year CS/CE or related degree with at least two years of coursework.
• Strong programming skills in an object-oriented language (C#, Java, or C++).
• Fundamental data structures and software concepts.
• Understanding of relational databases and transactions.
• Ability to translate requirements into working software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, user-focused.
• Familiarity with software/system architecture concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and investigate problems.
• Ability to use AI-assisted development tools responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy web applications for long-term clients (CPD, Cook County Clerk).
• Build and enhance apps using C#/.NET, React/Redux, Svelte, Oracle, SQL Server, and AWS.
• Collaborate with senior developers and assume more independent tasks over time.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Gain exposure to cloud hosting, APIs, microservices, DevOps, databases, and architecture.
• Use AI-assisted tools as part of development while ensuring code quality.
• Contribute code to real applications that run in production.
