Job summary
The Pokémon Company International is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to help build scalable software solutions that power communities and major events for Pokémon fans around the world.
In this role you will design, develop, and support software with product, design, and engineering teams, tackle complex technical challenges, and contribute to architectural decisions that drive reliable and engaging experiences at scale.
Qualifications
- Five to seven years of professional software experience.
- Experience delivering software through full development lifecycle.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and drive work to completion.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in agile environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software solutions and services.
- Lead the implementation of complex features and technical initiatives from design through production.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following engineering best practices.
- Participate in code reviews to improve software quality, reliability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and evaluate architecture, implementation approaches, and tradeoffs.
- Break down complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Support system improvements that enhance performance, maintainability, security, and operational excellence.
