AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual access to innovation for our customers. The AWS Networking organization is hiring Software Development Engineers (SDE) to confront and solve complex challenges supporting network design between AWS locations and services. As part of the Backbone Engineering team, you will design and architect software to predict network behavior and build solutions that meet Amazon's customer obsession.
This team models and validates network topology changes, plans deployment, encodes, and enforces business intent. Engineers collaborate with various teams to ensure scalability and safety of network design, making strategic decisions impacting the company's infrastructure.
We use AWS technologies like DynamoDB, SWF, S3, EC2, API Gateway, Lambda, ELB, RDS, and Athena, programming in Python and Rust. Our work directly impacts internal and external customers, and we own and operate the infrastructure serving our clients.
