This role involves programming, debugging, and resolving technical issues while leading teams and providing mentoring support. Job Title: Software Development Engineer (multiple positions)
Job Duties: Program, debug, and test applications in a development environment. Perform database design and system testing. Provide technical, interpersonal, and administrative skills in performing day to day work. Develops efficient and maintainable program code. Develop efficient and effective program and system solutions in solving business problems. Provide consulting support for Engineering and Business partners by researching, identifying, and resolving technical programming problems. Develop programs and systems in support of business processes and objectives. Understand and participate in deliverables required by approved Development Lifecycles. Determine program design and prepare work estimates for development or changes for assigned work. Prepare and/or directs the creation of system test plans, test criteria, and test data, the creation of program, system, operational and User documentation, and testing and documents the results. May be responsible for on-call duties as defined by management. Must be available for on-call work and after-hours staffing. Telecommuting from anywhere within the U.S. allowed.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s* degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field or the foreign degree equivalent including 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a multi-platform environment, including but not limited to application development or database development. This must include:
3 years of experience in each of the following:
Analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving moderate programming problems and system coordination issues.
Hands on experience in batch driven data processing applications.
Providing technical direction and solutions to other software development engineers.
Leading multi-discipline teams for work efforts including estimating, coordinating, tracking progress, assisting with resolving issues, and providing status.
Mentoring and coaching junior team members in technical matters including Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development and unit and behavior test creating.
Mentoring others in programming.
Programming in Java, J2EE frameworks, Spring Batch, AWS and SQL Server Databases.
2 years of experience in each of the following
Experience working with the Facets database, usage, table structure and integration points.
Hands on Experience in Docker and Kubernetes deployment environment.
Programming experience in React JS.
Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
*The employer will also accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field or the foreign degree equivalent and 3 years of experience in a multi-platform environment, including but not limited to application development or database development experience, in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience.
This position qualifies for the company’s employee incentive referral program.
SALARY: $158,309 to $169,000 per year.
