Amazon in Austin, TX seeks a Software Development Engineer to design Agentic AI experiences for advertisers, building high‑volume, real‑time systems and AI‑first SDLC practices in a fast‑moving Ads environment.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and product leaders to deliver scalable ads products used by global customers, applying OO design, multi‑tier architecture, and languages such as C++, Java, or C#. A BS in CS is preferred.

• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for large systems.
• 1+ years of OO design and multi‑tier distributed software experience.
• Experience programming in C#, C++, Java, or Perl.

Build new Agentic AI experiences that help hundreds of thousands of advertisers get the most from their campaigns — creating intelligent systems that make independent decisions in real‑time, scale at high volume, and interact with customers through rich interfaces. This is AI‑first engineering on the tools advertisers use daily to manage their advertising strategies on Amazon.

The Measurement and Data Science (MADS) Reporting User Experience team owns the software that hundreds of thousands of advertisers use to manage their advertising strategies across Amazon Ads. These tools are also a fast‑evolving fabric enabling rapid development by teams across Ads. You'll adopt AI‑first SDLC practices, interface with external systems, and build architectures that are exemplary in robustness, stability, and scalability. You'll collaborate with software leaders, product leaders, and senior engineers to deliver innovative products our global customers use daily — with the opportunity to expand your technical skills into emerging technologies.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience1+ years of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
